Oh, geez – the dreaded pothole. It sure can seem like Greater Cincinnati is fighting a losing battle when it comes to potholes. As soon as one is repaired, another shows up….at least that’s what how it appears. Whatever the case, you want to avoid potholes unless it is dangerous for you to do so because they can cause real problems for your suspension, tires and wheels.

While you don’t have any control over the condition of area roads, you can take some precautions regarding your own driving and vehicle:

  • At night when vision is naturally reduced, it is best to take well-lit routes to reach your destination.
  • Take it easy speed-wise – especially at night – so you can see a pothole before you are right upon it.
  • Whenever possible, choose routes with which you are familiar.
  • If you do hit a pothole, take a good look at your wheels and tires. If your vehicle acts “funny” after hitting a pothole, or “feels different,” then you may need to have it checked out by a professional.

If you have hit a pothole and are unsure if a “symptom” is concerning, give M&G Body Shop a call and we’ll be happy to chat with you: (513) 851-9056
