Hopefully, you don’t have to deal with insurance much – no one wants to have been in an accident! But if you need to deal with your automobile insurance, there are a few things you should keep in mind:

  • If you are the insured, make sure you have read through your policy. Be familiar with it, so that you will at least have the basics in mind should you need to call upon your insurance company.
  • It’s a good idea to have rental coverage to cover a rental the same size as the vehicle you have been driving; otherwise, you may not get a rental if it’s not specified in your policy.
  • If you have a quality replacement or an after-market policy, that means they can put used parts on your car. Again, it’s a good idea to be familiar with your policy so there are no surprises.
